Kodak i1840 and i1860 are durable, fast, and ergonomic production scanners designed for continuous scanning of high volumes with the operators comfort in mind. The performance and the ergonomic design features make them ideal for all high volume scanning applications.

Kodak i1840 and i1860 are based on proven and further improved technologies from preceding models combined with new features. They are truly versatile work-horses, scanning all kind of documents in speeds up to 160 and 200 documents per minute respectively (in A4 landscape). Documents may vary in size from 64x64 to 305x863 mm and in weight (thickness) from 45 to 200 g/m2. Alternatively the ultra light weight feeder handles very thin documents from 25 to 75 g/m2.

The feeder elevator can hold up to 500 documents and three individually controlled ultra sonic sensors ensure that only single sheets are fed. Four permanently mounted patch code readers operating individually or together ensures that batches are separated and addressed correctly. Front pre-scan or rear post-scan imprinting is standard and a high resolution imprinter optional.

Perfect Page image processing optimizes clarity, sharpness and cropping at full speed. Brightness, contrast and colour tones are easy to adjust, to sharpen text and optimize photos.
The automatic colour detection function determines when the scanner should capture images in colour or black and white, reducing document preparation and optimising memory usage. Auto rotation, auto cropping, colour dropout, noise removal, and other image enhancements features further increase productivity.
Five output formats are selectable, black and white, greyscale, colour and two dual stream options: black and white plus greyscale, or black and white plus colour.

With the operators best in mind the scanners are quiet and easily operated by the colour touch screen, and the tables are height adjustable for the most convenient operator position, sitting or standing.
